my ps3 controller mod

while on ebay lookig for a additional controller i stumble upon sum custom built rapid fire controllers and all sorts of different types of modded controllers

so str8 to youtube n i found all these various ps3 controllers mods wit led lites n custom paint, some sick mods they change the player 1234 status lited to various clolours, so i decided to give it a try

here r the links untill i can upload dem properly

i changed the d-pad, action buttons n thumb sticks to crystal clear ones the L1,L2\R1.R2 trigger buttons are on their way


then i decided to try the ps button led mod


it doesnt stop there my ulimate aim(sorry for the quality did a screen capture from a video on ma phone)

dem yute deh a sum sick head, saw one whre the entire handle was of leds

plan on doing my other controller a simplier mod jus connect the leds to the rumble motor, so it only lites up when the controller vibrates

I have been trying to figure out how to do pretty much exactly this. Would you be able to post the parts you used and the videos? Everything I have found so far is to just change the ps3 emblem in the middle of the controller and therefore not very useful to make my controller look as awesome as yours.

well this particular mod was done to the 1st gen ps3 controllers (no rumble) the solder point for power are different on the each controller board, nothing at all was done to the physical ps button, jus to cut off piece of the rubber underneath

alright i was looking for the supplies you mentioned. THis is what i came up with:

for a full controller like yours buy 3 packs for a total of 15 LEDs

is that pretty much what you used? i couldnt find the bulk sell of the Blue LED 3.5mm all they had was 5mm on ebay. So i figured i could just switch it out for the ones all the kits use on ebay.

thats pretty much it, the seller i got the leds from gave me 50 resistors free

look for a seller by the name 757 gamer mods,he has the entire set of buttons for cheaper
