Default GameSave Manager - Backup Your Saves

After having to restore my machine a few times through testing I had lost my saves for a few different things (Borderlands this time). I started back Assassin's Creed and wondered about my save states - a quick Google found some things, but this was at the top.

Check it out. May save you time and hassle. Oh, did I mention it's freeware? Oh and that it supports STEAM?

But doesn't Steam already store your saved games on the Cloud? That's how I was able to resume Torchlight and Unreal after numerous formats instead of from the beginning. It even tells me when (due to some corruption) my saved game on the Steam Cloud is smaller than what's on my machine. For my other games this'll be awesome...though I think that Amazon also stores the saved files in the Amazon Cloud.

Me either... most if not all games store your saves in your documents folder some do store it in the "appdata" folder

For me it has never been a problem, never needed to backup saved games... my "Users" folder is not on my C: Drive but rather on my Data drive... doing a clean format doesn't delete it so you can always go and copy out your stuff.

Back in the day, I had to move around my saves from drive to drive to pc and cds when I didn't have legit versions of the game and could never seem to finish any of them.
Now that all my games are legit, and I'm taking the extra effort to finish the games in my old age, I've no need to back up folders anymore.
The cloud deals with that, that's why I only buy games from Steam and Amazon.

Nice but am more looking for something like PickMeApp that stores entire apps and not just their data...... Know of anything else like that?

Don't know anything to do a program backup. There are ways to make some programs portable so you can just run those - but as for a backup I just install and use Paragon to do a full system backup. PickMeApp looks interesting tho.

I don't have the space for a complete system backup, else I would have used the Windows Backup utility but I only have space for a few selected apps.
