How do some websites unlock a BB with just the IMEI, the country & network the phone is locked to and the model of the phone.. is that an algorithm too or is it a calculator and how does the country & the network tie into it?
Also, how is it scripted to work on a website?

I think RIM has an algorith/formula to calculate the unlock code with just the IMEI and the Network MEP. Maybe the algorithm/formula just leaked out to a programmer and he just coded up a program to generate these codes.
Wit that said its easy to implement this algorithm on a webpage
