i got a similar software to the bbcalculator i found here i think, and that version knows which phone model i entered into it

This is because you use the PRT number, he added this feature it also comes up with certain MEP #

There is a forum that does free unlocking.. all you they have to do is post their imei and mepid and someone from the group provides the codes.. i use that group to test the calculators to see which is superior.
