Juss checked the specs on the 6870 and it doesn't seem to support Open GL 4.1 like the Geforce card. Also use more power which yeah I know means a lil more boost in games and the specs aren't all that different for almost $50 more, but as long as I getting decent frames I can work with it.

    nVidia makes drivers look easy....
Thus why I said I have more confidence in them for now. I might change to ATI in the future when I ready to build a monster rig.

The reason Pezz recommends the 560 is because the 550ti is a poor choice for the price and several other reviews state that the 6850 is better in that price range. See here

According to AMD it does support Open GL 4.1. http://www.amd.com/us/products/deskt...verview.aspx#2

Never had driver issues with AMD/ATI but then again never experienced using a Nvidia card.

Pow u need fi check the power thing again, what happens is at idle AMD uses more power than Nvidia or around the same, however under load your geforce will skyrocket and begin to contribute to global warming similar to riverton city when them set it ablaze, under load the new AMD architecture is actually quite the power saver and very efficient. As for Open GL 4.1 it the cards do support it, not sure where u getting ur information from....i agree with some people that the drivers do need work however, but they have improved, dem all get auto update......

You all can't see that this person is hell bent on getting an nvidia card and there is nothing any of us can say to change is mind. In my opinion he needed a discussion as oppose to advice. lol.

Thanks for pointing that out as it wasn't showing that on Newegg (or was it compusa?).

Name's Powpow potoguise1 and I'm not hell bent on getting a Geforce card. I just saw the 550 ti in the budget I made and it had some solid reviews so ti instantly caught my attention.

The 6850 looks ok and seeing prices ranging from 150 - 200, so gonna check out the 560 series geforce and decide.
