never heard of sata drives with drivers but chances are since it's sata (new) then seperate drivers are not needed for winxp up

Do you have all the windows updates on the server including the service pack? Is S-ATA enabled in the BIOS (assuming the current drive with 2K3 SBS is a P-ATA drive)?

Once the SATA interface is enabled in the BIOS you should be able to use the drive. The CD with the software that you're thinking are drivers are probably software tools for maintaining and configuring the drive and not drivers per se.

Seagate has drive utilities as well. Seatools Desktop for setting up (formatting, partitioning, etc) and Seagate DiscWizard for testing... The Setup tool makes it very simple (If you've never done a installation before).
