A pic is certainly a must for sale effectiveness and tells quits a bit about the seller themselves. However who cares if they don't see the necessity of posting a pic. Personally I would NEVER buy an item posted for sale here or anywhere else without some confirmation of the condition and validity of said item.

Exactly, so more time when I dont see a pic, I just ignore that item. I just think its pure laziness.

    Pretty much:
If I have to make an offer - ignore
If I have to call for price - ignore
    If I don't see a description - ignore
    If I don't see a picture - ignore
    If I don't see a phone # - ignore.

So I usually have to take my business elsewhere. Much more inconvenient but sellers here don't want to take the effort for the buyers sake so don't see why I as the buyer should either.

But you still have a price in your head that you will take it for. If you have a damaged monitor, and a guy offers to buy it from you for $5 JM, you gonna sell it to him?

Don't see how you can sell an item without knowing how much you want for it. You MUST have an idea of how much you want or a range that you're willing to accept.

    ...
Anytime a guy tells me to offer a price, I am starting at $1 and move up until I get the price he is willing to part it for.
Which nin-com-poop gonna start his offer at the higher end of a price range for an item?

Then the seller has the audacity to be upset at the buyer at a $1 price offer, when THEY gave them the option to name a price.
If I can part you from your item for a $1, I'll TAKE IT!

Better the seller put a price at his higher price range, and hope a nin-com-poop will accept it. Otherwise, he can negotiate downwards with other professional buyers.

I am tempted to remove classified items that have no price stated. In fact, I think we have some requirements for posting in the classifieds, including the price.
Let me double check my mod rule book....

    EDIT:
Items posted for sale MUST include the following:

    - ITEM (with necessary details)
    - BRAND/MODEL
    - CONDITION
    - PRICE
    - CONTACT NUMBER (optional or request to be sent a PM if no contact # available)

Posts not adhering to these rules may be subject to immediate removal.

Additionally AA, if the item is damaged and can be repaired, I don't think it would hurt the seller to find out how much it would cost to restore it to a desirable condition and then discount the selling price.

the thing is i believe, this is not ebay or amazon. most people on here are supposedly technologically inclined, therefore, if i have an item n just want a thing for it, i suppose i should state "no reasonable offer refused". the item may actually be worth say $10,000.00,k? but i don't necessarily want 10k for it.

i would prolly take 6k, or even 12k if i'm getting that bcos 6k isn't a loss to me, but i don't want to post the lowest price.

i do understand the concept of posting a price, but if i want anything between 6-12k for the item i cant state that bcos the prospective buyer is just gonna say 6k. so if i state "make an offer" "no reasonable offer refused" based on the nature of this forum i would expect that the buyer wouldn't make ridiculous offers. also, i dot want to run away prosepctive buyers by posting a price them cyaan handle.

i suppose a solution is this, state the Value of the item, then state MAKE OFFER "NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED"

but i do understadn what ur sayin AA

I AM NOT TECHNOLOGICALLY DUNCE AND WOULD BE A FOOL TO TRY AND CONVINCE AN IDIOT

1st off as you said most ppl are "supposedly" inclined which means not everyone
2nd there is no reason to say "no reasonable offer refused" bcuz as you said the item may be worth 10k & you may be willing to take 6k so why not just say 6k, 8k or 10k. The point is you cant blame someone for bidding low when you dont state a price. Furthermore as you said this aint ebay so there should be no bidding cuz no auction no deh yah so. Just state the price you want & who is interested will link you.

Or state your high price and append either neg/o.b.o. to it.
I don't even waste my time making an offer, I just move on to a seller that actually has a price.
I deal with many people and they miss my business that way. If they have in mind 8k for something, I don't know this but I'm not gonna offer.
I see someone with same item for 10k that's who's gonna get my money. Maybe I'm the weird one.
