Default Clean up your social media permissions.

How many applications have you given permission to access your profile information on Facebook, Twitter or G+?
This security writer says she was surprised she had 15 apps accessing her facebook info.
    http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2012...a-permissions/

In her article she says a guy removed permissions for 150 apps from his facebook profile.

So take a few mins and check what apps are accessing your profiles. This site helps you with it:
    http://mypermissions.org/

A new site, MyPermissions.org, makes it easy to herd a posse of wild cats - aka the hoard of applications and sites to which we've granted permission to access our information on Twitter, Facebook and more.

Check which applications and websites you've granted permission to access your social media accounts

MyPermissions doesn't ask for your personal information or login details, thank goodness. Otherwise, it would be a phishing goldmine.

Rather, the site simply offers a handy set of links to permissions lists. It also allows you to easily revoke access from the permissions pages.
It gives you direct links to the various social media sites where you can remove permissions.

Cleared up a few things in facebook but no other service I have an issue with. I would recommend persons do the same as most "apps" in my facebook account that had permissions are there before facebook was more open with what "apps" have access to.

Meh they can access all my information on facebook, because all my facebook information is wrong.

Why block the developer of an app and give the facebook staff access to your personal info?

is it that you trust facebook more? I don't trust any of them. My 250 FB contacts know its me but the information there (EVERYTHING) is fake and incorrect.

Though I know this video is fake the point behind it is true. especially since most of you reading this DID NOT READ facebooks term and conditions when you signed up.

Oh BTW if you already had your real info there or gave an app permission. Disableing or taking away permission or even changing your facebook info now will be too late as the app developer and facebook already stored your info for future use. just saying.

I can say the same thing. My facebook profile is completely fake. So it's of no concern to me if they access my info. It ain't me anyways.

You would be surprised how much information facebook is gathering from your actions. Even if you profile is fake it can calculate where you are based on the friends you have and the pictures you are tagged in. If you really worried about security its better to just not have an account (which helps but you can still get tagged in photos, lol). Eventually FB will start asking you for you phone number.

Besides seeing me log in from a variety of ip addresses both locally and internationally on my face account they can only tell that the user logs in a lot from Jamaica that's it.

As for tagged I have never been tagged and cannot be tagged. Persons who know the real me. Not wishlist know better.

For jomo fyi. You giving Facebook all your personal information including phone number is like you putting up banners all around the island like jlp and pnp with all your information on it.

Anyone outside your friendlist can access your info. With just a little effort
