I'm thinking about getting the Fire, but since I've never used or owned a tabled before, I don't know if 7" is too small. Spec wise, the Nook Tablet is a better device but I don't like the design.

Personally i dont like the design of the nook tablet. I've been an amazon customer for yrs and up to this point i'm not disappointed with their services. The fire will be an awesome device for me irrespective of its yea low internal memory. It will definitely get the job done and i can't wait for mine to arrive

For a multimedia device 8GB is just not enough. That's a big issue for me. My current device is only 16GB and as soon as you load a couple movies and some large games it is full. Can't possible imagine what would happen with 8GB. This makes the nook more attractive.

For $20 bucks more they could have added card slot. Then it would be very attractive

Only 6 of that 8 GB will be usable. I'm somewhat disappointed after reading some reviews, and currently reevaluating whether or not I need a tab or an e-reader. At launch, you will only be able to load apps procured from Amazon's App Store, and there's no indication that they indent to change this. I was really hoping that they would have opened up the device to the Android Marketplace.

yu nevva tek panadol before... go di pharmacy inna di mawning...

neway... mi get a pandigital... and root it... have access to market... so mi nice... i think it is one of a kind though... it has two memory slots... you can completely remove the back by sliding it off just like a phone and you have access to the internal memory booster (i call it) which is micro sd... maximum 2gb... you can change the battery too if it goes bad... then you have an SD slot... which i bought a 16gb for... i suspect.. it will take 32 easy... but price.... bought a 16gb class 6... i dont need to look for adapters to transfer data.... most laptops come with an sd slot...

i know many of yall dont look for stuff to buy that way... but i am not a retail tech... i am my own tech... and thats the new term... its like a friend of mine said he setup a computer over the weekend... i was like nice... where you bought parts... he was like weh yu mean and i went oh yu mean yu hook it up... no man my son does those kind of things... i thought you mean you built it from scratch... "retail techy" dont know didly squat more than fi buy summn and think them versatile in binary conversations... kmft
