    Default Network Colour Codes

    The king needs some assistance once again. Anyway i need the colour code for the network cables(RJ45) to connect only 2 computers together, without a hub or a switch.

    whiteorange orange whitegreen blue bluewhite green whitebrown brown (use for both ends if straight thru)

    for cross over switch orange with green for one end only

    whitegreen green whiteorange blue bluewhite orange whitebrown brown

    Thanx man, though i found sumthin else via google already, I still used ur site to compare the colour code to the one i found and it was the same, thanx nontheless

    Someone once told me that the colour arrangement dosnt really matter. You just have to make sure that the colours line up end to end for a patch cable, and that you cross one of the wires for a cross over. Was this incorrect? If not, then are there any meanings behind the colours?

    I also heard that you can do this but I dont. I normally go for colour code on the internet and go by it.

    Yeah buying them could work, but building your own is more economical.
