    Default slow usb transfer rate on windows xp

    ok so im using windows xp but when im transfering files to my thumb drive it its taking like minutes to transfer a 1 gig file this doesnt seem normal to me, so is there anyway for me to improve the transfer rate ?

    there is an app called TeraCopy that works wonders.
    if you are able to "source" the paid version, it will help

    also, it depends on the usb drive too. example, i have an A-Data 8gb drive and it takes FOREVER to transfer a 1gb file to it (sometimes, in excess of 5 mins)
    so, all in all, try to source TeraCopy, and try a different brand usb drive
