i downloaded the mod and changed the setting but it still using credit

Using nokia n900 (yeah, that phone). I went in the 'connections' settings, selected the connection (LIME) and chose the 'edit' options. Clicking on advanced, I then have the option to add the proxy server, which works a charm for browsing. My only thing now is that I can't seem to get my apps to connect. I have researched but the only thing that comes close to a resolution is manually including an IP address. Gonna test more when I get home.

actually you can browse facebook and a few other non secure sites but you have to do a network spoof, so that it will detect the proxy as secure, can't go into the specifics but i'm assuming techies here know what i mean.

and just to add to the topic this method has been around for years and it seems to work for many networks

you could put https:// instead of http:// because then it will be secure but some site do not work with the https:// protocol

ok i think i got it to wrk on my pc using the usb modem but i cant watck videos wit it becuz dem not loading.......anyone else had this issue

you can (for certain sites) view the source for the video frame and just download and watch the video.

oh thanks....dats y i started doing anyway but wen i try to download a large file its stops after a while so i jus use it for browsing and dwnloading music

Well depends on the proxy you use usually I am able to download between 100-200 mb of data haven't tried anything above that.

Strange that is one of the better ones just downloaded 60+mb off it.
