Windows server 2008 ?

The first thing to look at is
1) what is the min spec that MS recommend for each package to run on
2) How many user will access the server at peek time
3) Traffic Load on the interface

Then you will be able to determine what you need, 64 bit would nice and min 8Gig Ram
Disk space dose need to be big RAID for speed good hard drives 1G Lan

ideal solutions is to have separate instances of the each application on separate units

Don't just chucked every on one box, I have 2008 + MySQL, + linux box with MySQL
if you really want to test do a virtue machine on in a 64bit environment

yeh thts the plan to have separate boxes......
i was thinking about using linux also wats ur take on it does it have a built in firewall and how does it handle for u?

another thing is our internet, lime as told us tht we are not getting full service
because of some upgrading tht needs to be done on their system and my
company just refuse to go flow.....

For the sql box you could run MYSQL if you dont have anything complex for a query in your database .

it just depends on the infrastructure you have and the budget for licensing

,if its a web base solution i would get VPS and make everything cloud .
