    i got the modem and stuff and in the connection settings thingy when i check the internet gateway is disconnected (but im still able to use net) and any time i try to connect it says 'connection failure' why is this and also icannot install anythin gon the cd cuz it says it was unable to find any speedtouch devices on my computer

    I had that problem before as well, i had it when i was using my own lan cable, but when i switched to using the lan cable that came with the modem it started working fine. dunno why though

    Are you plugging directly into the modem or into a hub? Depending on how you plug it different cables are needed (straight vs. crossover). Additionally, firewalls can block ips, you need to have access to 10.0.0.138. If you use Windows Firewall or NIS you could check your settings.
