    one small problem with going real raid (using a raid card) is most of the MB's ppl want or have dont carry a PCI-X slot even if 1 could get a cheap one off ebay.... so what my question is what would u suggest for the MB which only have pci, pci-e x1, x4, x16 slots

    Oh my virus i never saw yur question but better late than never... pci-e x4 would be the solution for you... any card you see with x1 is more of less fake raid...
