yes unbranded phones usually if not always work in Jamaica.
but the 9900 has both bands that the claro and lime uses so would there still problem with that
cause im seeing where att and tmobile both uses 2100 and both claro and lime uses 2100
ok my head kinda tuff so ur saying that claro and lime works on 850 for 3g
ok so first question ....on this page wat is the 1900mhz for http://www.techjamaica.com/forums/sh...icel-amp-Claro
second question in the specs for the 9900 its says it uses 850 1900 2100 800 does it mean that the diff phone companies get them to inhibit the other operating frequencies and only run what they work with ?

There 2 versions of the bold 2 (9700)
Tmobile is HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100
AT&T is HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800

The 1st old works with lime and claro and only uses HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 for 3G
Just confirm the phone has HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 and you should be good with 3G in Ja Claro and Lime
Correct me if i am wrong still.
ok cool it is noted ill make sure that it has those frequencies
