No it wont work, its not gsm so no SIM card to make voice calls but can be used like an Ipod if you got it free. use wifi and browse internet ect.

i had that phone, kinda old. i can root, unlock it, custom rom and radio etc...

extended battery came in today.. 1600mah compared to the stock 1230mah..

gonna give it a few cycles before i pass any judgement on it

if you come to some issues you can try flashing BFS kernel
Full wipe is not required, but recommended
I highly recommend Fixing Permissions from recovery after first boot

try the test version of ice cold sandwich and switch to the bfs kernel to avoid any issues ..gots to love the progress lord clocknan has made with this rom and this phone
