    • Protocols - Both routed and routing
    • OSI model

    Although it doesn't use ports, it's still a valid question. Questions such as this test how well you know the basic tools and protocols. Just like how some people might confuse the OSI model with the TCP/IP Model.

    lol - the type of question i'd ask is- How do you enable Auto/Desirable trunking on a Router?

    switchport mode dynamic desirable
    switchport mode dynamic auto....
    think theres a chart somewhere that shows wen its in trunking mode for eg trunk+trunk= trunk and trunk +desirable = trunk
    etc etc
