As the iPhone 5 awaits its launch, Reuters has diverted the public attention to the current hardware. Within weeks, a revised and cheap iPhone 4 is reported to come out in the market.

Apple has pared down the specs of the coming Budget iPhone 4 to 8GB of storage – smaller than the current 16GB and 32GB options – and a reduced price to match, thus targeting people of developing countries, who just aren’t ready to spend a lot of money on a new phone. Other hardware changes may be in tow as well, speculations regarding a relatively inexpensive unlocked iPhone come to mind.
It has been reported through sources that the suppliers to Apple Inc have begun the production of the cheap iPhone 4.The Reuters news agency cited two such sources saying that manufacturing had begun on an 8GB flash drive for the popular smart phone while at this time the iPhone 4 is available in 16 or 32gbs only.
There are rumours that Asian suppliers to Apple Inc have started the making of a lower priced version of its hot-selling iPhone 4 with a smaller 8 gigabyte (GB) flash drive. The flash drive for the 8GB iPhone 4 is being made by a Korean and a Japanese company, that Apple has contracted a Korean firm to manufacture the discount iPhone’s flash drive.
There is speculation as to the reason behind this move of the company to release a surplus of iPhone 4s into the low-cost market when the amazing world iPhone, the iPhone 5 is set to release soon.
The Budget iPhone 4 device, expected to launch within the next few weeks, is being considered as Apple’s attempt to attract customers looking for a change over into their first smartphone. Such a device would even probably win some extra traction among first-time smartphone owners.
The company aims at pushing into the emerging market segment where demand is for low to mid-end smartphones which usually cost $150-200, For that it needs a completely new phone with low specifications for the emerging markets which is the low cost iPhone 4.
We guess that so called cheap iPhone 4 could be iPhone Nano.
