Just downloaded RealVNC from realvnc.org. Currently playing with it on my home network.

Its essentially PCAnywhere for the freeware lover. Anyone currently using it?

If so, what are the opinions out there? Any tricks or tips?

I prefer TightVNC for windows, although they are basically using the same opensource backnone.
Linux comes with TightVNC default.

I have a student a couple of towns away and it works great.... it feels a little clumsy until u get used to which component to use. As a poor teacher the "free" part really appealed. If I need to access a maching I have put an icon on my "inexperienced" users desktops to launch the listening component so I can then access. I just add a client, punch in the IP and go(on my home n'work I only need the machine name). I'm running on a 28.8 connection(best i can get unless i go satellite) and access speed is satisfactory. At this point I've only use it with 2 students so I'm still exploring.

Whats the difference between "tightvnc" and "realvnc"?
