I was actually looking at one of these to replace my ancient laptop. But I think I will wait till the end of the year before I get a new laptop, because I want to upgrade my desktop first.
Hopefully Bulldozer will come out this year, I'd like to see some laptops powered by it.

Is this suppose to be a contender with the Atom Processors or did it completely blow them out of the water? I have read here on TJ that one should avoid AMD for their mobile platforms its okay for desktop but that Intel was way ahead of them in regards to the mobile market.

Yes it blows atom out of the water in everything.
Intel ahead in the mobile market is changing as we speak.

Okay I just got my new Netbook the ones with the dual core atom processors the n550 I wouldn't mind something better it seems that Atoms as they increase in model they basically increase power consumption but not really processing power.

Brazos is general is a much better performer than Atom, especially when it comes to graphics intensive work.
