What else do you really expect to change in a series of games? Every FPS series I can think of has subtle improvements from game to game but carry the same basic mechanics. I don't see much if any difference between Bad Company and BF 1943 and BC2. In fact, Medal of Honor looks exactly like BC2 with different soildiers.

I just don't get the notion of people complaining about a new game in a series looking like the last if almost all games are like that, especially if they hit a benchmark with one of the games you can't expect them to do a rehaul of the formula unless it needs one. So what do you think needs to change with COD now azix? Or is it that you just don't want to see activision making any more games?

Well these things make it seem a lot different from Modern Warfare 2 now. That Wager thing sounds like that game mode from Counter Strike Source where u level up with each kill. Not that I'd play that but the other things sound interesting enough for me to pick it up if I see it for under $40 since is not another WWII game. Before viewing this thread I had little interest since I know the last ones Treyarch made was WWII

Yes I did and I know ppl like that and I don't really understand it. I prefer MW2 multiplayer much more than MW, and this is coming from a Killzone 2 fan. I don't see what was removed from COD4 that made it worse, the only reason I see for ppl to hate MW2 is perks like Commando

Matter of fact, COD4 multiplayer used to piss me the **** off now that I think about it. All the ****ing grenade chucking and noobtubing and b****hole spawn camping an those idiot maps like Shipment and the dark ship Wet Work. Not to mention the host thing. I cursing cause just the memories of it pissing me off :eusa_wall

MW2 is much better sorry, I jus cant understand how people could prefer COD4 now that I digging back into my memories of the game. If you can find back the posts I made before MW2 came out I was always saying that IF I get MW2 I was only getting it for campaign mode and I saw it at a good price one day and the multiplayer surprised me and to this day I still play it. I got COD4 the december it came out also and stopped playing it as soon as GTA 4 and MGS4 came out the April after

i know that is a bit over the top and i dont mean it really but idunno. I just couldnt bother with COD4 online anymore. Think I burnt out on it since it was one of my first ps3 games and the fact that some people just take it way way WAY too seriously. COD is a bit too twitchy for my liking. I think I prefer more tactical team and objective based shooters. You would never find me playing deathmatch in ANY game.

I don't see it being much different from a throwing knife, which I'm a pro at :icon_roll Was something gay about the throwing knife? I don't use commando pro like some people and the throwing knife is a whole different game cause it has an arch and is extremely easy to miss and make urself vulnerable. This knife launcher (which is a real weapon) probably makes you even more vulnerable since it looks like something you have to equip so what happens if you miss? I highly doubt commando pro noobs will be [ab]using it cause it most probably will require skill to use like the throwing knife.

Throwing Knife is considered Equipment, which you can choose between that, grenades, C4, Blast Shield etc. After you use your throwing knife you can retrieve it from the body or find it back if you missed. Whether or not you throw it you still have you normal combat knife all the time no matter how your setup looks.
I will want to believe he picked up the knife piece from the body has he ran over it in the video cause as you can see it used both hands to stab the guy in his back, which looked very different to me from normal stabs.

ok upon reviewing the video it looks like the projectile remains in his right hand and he carries a tactical knife in his left hand. I don't know how that weapon works so it might even be a secondary and not equipment if he can reload it.

I got MW2 for $37 on amazon last December, you just have to watch out for these deals, and one month is not a long wait. Same for Red Dead Redemption I got it at that price 2 weeks after it's release. I got Uncharted 2, FIFA 10 and Tekken 6 last October for $40 each, all just came out recently. You don't have to wait for price to drop cause in America they have this thing that don't exist in Jamaica called a SALE. I don't pay more than $45 for any of my PS3 games anymore, all brand new.

I got Darksiders 3 months ago for $20, ya a 5 month wait but it is back up to it's usual price now. Well when I checked last night CoD4 was slashed from USD40 to USD20 but then again I was looking at the PC version there is a store called Intcomex which a lot of us techies know about but they only sell to people who have an established business if memory serves me correctly and I have seen Watts New and Royal shopping their and I'm sure many other computers stores locally do the same but when you check the prices at Watts New they are in a completely different ream. Well even then... I ran through the campaign on veteran picking up all the enemy intel with a total playtime of 1 day and mussi 1 hour (wen i get back to ma ps3 I check). And about 3 hours out of that was spent on one particular level (Loose ends)... I dunno who the hell was the level designer for this level but he/she/they should be shot and killed.

I dunno how you can have men running and shooting from the hip and still managing to get nothing but headshots... and then you have to run through the open field... cho....:icon_evil

Most games are too short now a days the technology has improved for stunning graphics but the creativity has fallen games are either too short or too easy if not a combination of both, that is why I stopped playing games. Onimusha, God War, Devil May Cry etc.... all titles which can be completed in half day or less on normal difficulty around 7-10 hours and yet there are games on the NES and Genesis that give gave me a warm time.

I was playing CoD4 up to last night to see what the hype was about and I think CoD4 maps are larger, which I like because it makes flanking easier in regards to the whole 1 shot to kill via a sniper that is in MW2 also but only with the bolt sniper rifle I think thats the "Intervention" if memory serves me correctly all the others of you want 1 shot to kill you have to shoot the person in their head.

Not all sniper rifles are one shot one kill in mw2. It depends on where you shoot the person, wat perks you have and the distance the person is from you. All the sniper rifles can take one shot kills but only under perfect conditions.

If you look at people who are dedicated snipers you will see that everybody has different perks setup. For people like me (bad at sniping), I always use stopping power to make sure the bullet goin at least lick hotter dan normal cuz chances are I wont be getting a headshot, sleight of hand pro (quicker ads) and steady aim pro (so I can hold my breath longer to aim).

However many good snipers use sleight of hand or marathon pro (some even bling), cold blooded/lightweight, and ninja.

Well for me as long as the Intervention hits you in your torso or in your head of course you are dead I have actually killed two persons with one shot using the Intervention all other sniper rifles if I want one hit kill I would have to hit you in the head but thats just from my personal experience. Rust doesn't appear in normal game mode playlists except 3rd person tactical. IW realized the problem and made sure not to put such a small map in Ground War playlists anymore. :eusa_clap

Every single shooter has campers and noobs, and what would you do without them. Do you want a game where everybody is a run n gun freak? A good mixture of campers run n gunners noobs and pros keep the games interesting. But then I'm talking as an Objectives person, if TDM and FFA is your thing then you can get away with running around like headless chickens.

Nothing is wrong with camping, as long as they do so and keep the goal of winning in mind. People that hate campers are the ones that don't know how to get around them. Only type of bad camper is one that incessantly goes back to the same spot no matter how much they die there and know people will be there or the ones that stay in the same spot and completely ignore the team objective.

Every single shooter has campers and noobs, and what would you do without them. Do you want a game where everybody is a run n gun freak? A good mixture of campers run n gunners noobs and pros keep the games interesting. But then I'm talking as an Objectives person, if TDM and FFA is your thing then you can get away with running around like headless chickens.

Nothing is wrong with camping, as long as they do so and keep the goal of winning in mind. People that hate campers are the ones that don't know how to get around them. Only type of bad camper is one that incessantly goes back to the same spot no matter how much they die there and know people will be there or the ones that stay in the same spot and completely ignore the team objective.

yes this is true without noobs and campers online wouldnt b so addictive plus killin a camper over and over lets me feel accomplished and gettin epic kill/death ratios from a match full a noobs is always fun but mw2 there is alot spawn trapin and nuke boostin but in cod4 u felt the difference between submachine guns and rifles in mw2 slap on SP and SA on a tar 21 and u get the benefit of both worlds and the perks to me in cod4 is better

I'm reading kill streaks don't stack anymore, stopping power is gone I think, and SOH doesn't work on Sniper rifles anymore. Good riddance if you ask me.

well not looking too bad, different enough from MW2 and not a WWII game which I hate them all. The currency system seems decent, I spent a bit too much time using attachments I don't like just to unlock the attachment that I wanted in MW2 so for me this is an improvement, at least the way I am thinking about it now.

i remember the cod fanboys on the killzone 2 forums complaining about how engineers can just drop turrets and get cheap kills. then came the sentry gun in MW2 then all of a sudden it was alright... anyway it was done before so what could be the problem? set your perks properly and it wont trouble you.

What has me wondering about this game is the time period.. im not sure when it is set in but it seems it is at least before the 90s and many of those technologies i dont think were out as yet. guess they cant remove too much from mw2 for continuity reasons

Honesty time.... I don't see myself playing this game online for much longer.. serious ting it is not as good as Modern Warfare 2, comparably laughably bad graphics, terrible sound effects, and a spawn system as crappy as COD4 was. Next thing I don't like too much is the currency system since I have to pay for stuff I can't even be too sure I want unless I pick up someone else gun. Too much buying buying business I honestly rather grind to earn my stuff while learning which attachments I like.
But like I've said before I only bought it for other reasons, but it is at least a good warning for me to not buy any more Treyarch games.

heard there is no quick scoping newbtube us over powered and the spawning system is bull**** and gunz arent well balanced

don't know bout quickscoping, and noob tube is very well there, but you have to buy it, and I won't buy any attachments til I unlock a proper gun all the way at lvl 38 cause all these guns I get before that are crap. So with that said, I guess you can say it is unbalanced.

But seriously I am disappointed with Black Ops competitive multiplayer. It redeems itself with zombies which is thankfully one of the main reasons I got it. I'll compile a list of negatives later probably.
