matronyx is the handle I chose about 3 1/2 yrs ago when I was going to CIT. The matrix had just come out (well march 31, 1999) and I was still hooked. The other handle I used before that alexikidd, was given to me even before I started to fool around pcs (when I was 12) and quite frankly, I aint a kid anymore.

I thought about Onyx .... and since the matrix was in the back of my mind somewhere.... presto..!!!

It stuck when I was dominating in UT at school, and many persons call me by that name. Some find it hard to pronounce (surprisingly) so they may say Tronyx, or matrix (which I don't like).

In those days I always found it easy to take lunch to school. So one night I saw a commercial with Oliver Samuels and someone else at the airport, if u don't remember I not gonna remind u.

I heard Oliver say rope ine with the cheese. Coincidentally the following day I took bun and cheese for lunch. I had a friend by the name of Roe; he had a bun but no cheese. Soh mi seh mi go call him that, which eventually would turn into his alias.

So I said to him, rope ine with the cheese. To my supprise he switched it one me. I tried to convince everyone to stick it on him but was unsuccessful. Most got tired of that long name and cut it down to ROPY. Almost all of us got in the same high school, and the name tagged along as well.

My name isn’t too complex, it refers network cable, shielded or unshielded :) The actual inspiration came from a conversation I had with a geeky girlfriend a few years ago, the idea was that we could become a rock duo with a geeky title. My idea was 'Coaxial' (it sounds cool when you say it with and evil rock voice :icon_twis ) and hers was "Twisted Pair" so there you go, any naughty connotation you get from the title is a just icing on the cake.
