GodKid is in Kingston. If you are not in Kingston or you are not on ADSL, or worse, not with Cable & Wireless, you may have serious lagging issues. Don't it Ropy?

No that's fine. It's just that, the last time I hosted, some people from New York and South Carolina connected. Needless to say, their skills were mind boggling. I was hosting, and I came 3rd.....

thanks for the link deakie... the porb is that that still returns my internal IP.. unfortuntaely that won't allow for external connections.. so I need the external IP.... thta's the one I haven't been able to get

hmmmmmm.....ok, now i figured that would give you your outside ip as seen by an outside service.
have you tried netstat or traceroute?

it returned two ip's that are the same and I guess i shoulda mentioned that I'm using a proxy server

I'm looking at using work's connection ...

tracert, pathping, netstat, ipconfig /all ..... :(

the proxy is only worried about the port not the ip unless the proxy is elsewhere, which would mean its along the path....hmmmm


them 2 ip's should be the ones...really....they must be the default gateway.....before the isp gateway

so have you redirection rights on your router at work?
