$500 a month and maybe. Think of it like this, you rent mw2 for 360 and play it exclusively for 3 months... thats 2570 x 3 = 7710 you just paid for a game you don't own. I'd rather buy a game every 2 months than do this.

It's a good concept but I honestly don't think this will be a successful venture. There was a movie place in Mobay that had a similar concept, they only lasted couple years.

our postal system is crap, they're going to have to send people around delivering/picking up games..and im sure that'll get pricey
i read the website btw, the 2750 is for their lower package..the actual package of worth is 3300.. :icon_roll
i do love the concept to, it'll be interesting to see how they do

jah kno azix u tek cheapness to a new level, Gamefly is $16-25 USD (call it $2000 JMD) a month so weh u a come from wid $500 a month in jamaica where loss prevention goin be a bigger issue?

gamefly is 2 games at a time and this is just 1 at a time. Who said I would use gamefly either? Renting is BS to me, rather own if I am paying money for it. So if I am going to rent it will be DIRT CHEAP.

i dont think u should use mw2 as an example for this kind of service. if u play games a lot it could be work it. look at it this way. most single player games are 8 to 15hrs long. so i beat a game a week i could get 4 games for that price. batman , darksiders, assasin's creed2, dante's inferno. Personally if i still had my ps3 i would try this. i could probably beat 3 games a month for the $3300 instead of paying $7500 per game at royal computer

I beat 1 game a year :icon_lol: so no thnx. I'd essentially be renting to evaluate the games (which is what ppl say you should do instead of pirate) but paying money for that? Can't get over paying for the experience alone either...

lol but some people love to rent and 1 game at a time probly wont be a problem cause the way they play they just want to fly thru a game then on to the next one, end up flying thru 3 a month or more. And once they done with a game they dont want to play it anymore, a reason why stores like Gamestop can rip off people like that and still be immensely succesful. I know people who do that so the cost of one game every 3 months vs the cost of 3 games a month works out a whole lot better for them, hence Gamefly/netflix success.

just seeing Malloc post, but he gives a good example for what i saying

Listen there are just some people who are "againsters". They will always have their arguments against something or someone no matter what.
This is a very good service. It is risky on the part of the business owners knowing the kind of clientelle they will have to deal with.
Good Business model utilizing Tara's door to door service. Good clean site.
I will be talking with them and supporting them in every way I can.
Regards.

Careful.... you don't want to be labelled an "againster" now do you?

I always wondered, do you need a license for this sort of thing?
As in ... license from the makers of "x" game. How do the manufacturers collect their dues?

Personal choice is different for bashing without base and from a biased point of view. I actually expected a more mature response than this from you.

I am not sure how Gameshac is going about it, but there are two ways to go about these license.
1. Be come a part of an existing Franchise, who is licensed to rent these games (Gamefly).
2. Yearly fee agreement with Game Distribution companies. Here, every year you have a one flat rate fee to pay and it will entitle you several copies of every game that this distributor, has. It onus is on you to make sure that you do enough rentals to make back that yearly fee. Under this agreement the Games although in your possession are the property of the Distribution company and has to be accounted for. At the end of a given period in the Agreement, you will have to either return the games to the distributor or purchase them from the distributor. If you opt to purchase, you can then sell the games, but ONLY after the distributor has received payment.

There wasn't anything to respond to.
If you take each comment on its merit and as the persons opinion you won't reach the conclusion that it's againstism. Everyone who posted gave reason enough for their opinion

Semitop.... if you took each comment on its own merit as someone's Opinion, then you would not have a problem with me being of the opinion that is basically "againstism".
Buy one game $7500 play it alone all year. VS Pay same amount and play many games.
You call the latter expensive. (your opinion)

Has anyone tried their services yet?

Apparently they have now reduced the price to $595 to rent a game. I guess more people will be able to afford it this way. My cousin has a PS3 so i'm going to get him to give them a try and see how it goes. I'm longing to play Uncharted 2.
