It is know surprise that IBM is backing Linux fully and that Oracle runs it entire operation on linux. However Just incase you don't believe :-

I just really like the line below.....It is so true of anyone trying to run highly loaded Win2k "Advanced Server" without having to reboot every 2weeks,i guess that is why it is called "Advanced Server" because before it would crash everyday.
Hartswick said Linux was evaluated against a Windows-based system and performed flawlessly for three months, whereas the Windows-based system failed after six or seven days.

Trust me, we'll be left behind. I told Paulwell about Linux in
1998. Today is like what--four years later? The Consumer
Affairs commission, (I'm on it) has just decided to put Linux
on some of it's coms which have Pirated stuff. Butcho was
supposed to do it--I'll check if he has.
Jamaica will always be last, we are masters of shutting
the gate long after the horse has disappeared over the hill. :'(
