Well my techie friends I have had the honour and blessing of playing this most most awesome game and beleive me people this is more than a game it is a divine blessing wrapped in plastic and other earthly material :eusa_pray but dont let all the plastic and such decieve u this is if u ask me one of the best games of 2004.
The story is its 1964 u are a c.i.a agent code named duh..dum..daa! naked snake!!! u r sent on a mission called the virtuous mission u r to rescue a russian scientist named sokolov, who is a major factor in the space and arms race between the u.s.a and u.s.s.r.He wants to defect to the american govt. and ur job is to find him and get him out of russia a.s.a.p but the journey to the recovery point is a little too much for u and sokolov as ur ambushed by ur former mentor dubbed "THE BOSS" and her team called "THE COBRAS" and a colonel of the GRU another faction of the russian army who wishes to overthrow the current govt. and place himself in power."THE BOSS" has defected to the soviet union and demands u to hand over sokolov in which u resist and being ur mentor she hands u ur ***! u r then sent bac on a new mission with three main onjectives:1 find and rescue Sokolov 2 gather any data on the extremly dangerous weapon wich Sokolov developed and built the "SHAGOHOD" and then destroy it and finally neutralize "THE BOSS".
This task needless to say is far from easy as u hafto face the jungle with its wild inhabitants not to mention the sentries that patrol them along with traps to ensnare u and lets not forget about the sons of "THE BOSS","THE COBRAS","THE FEAR","THE PAIN","THE FURY","THE SORROW","THE END".The battles can prove to be intense as u must outwit them to survive (I especilly love the battle between SNAKE and "THE END).
Guys and girls if u dont hav it now is the time to get it,it should make thr ultimate stocking stuffer next to ur xmas tree, get it for ur son,ur daughter,ur husband or wife it is one of the ultimate xmas gift for that dedicated gamer!!!! :D

While I am not the hard core gamer, I always love the Metal Gear series from the nintendo days...Started with Metal gear the very first version.

I also have my PS2 with the Metal Gear for this unit too. However I am not able to complete the entire game, guess I dont have the time.

Still I will be adding Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater to my PS2 colletion of games.

I have yet to finish Metal Gear Solid 2 on PS2. I borrowed it from a breddrin after I finished playing Splinter Cell. It's like I can't even get the vibes to play MGS2 after playing Splinter Cell. So the concept of MGS3 not even sparking much interest yet. I guess I'd have to see it in action to appreciate it. :eusa_thin

I'm hanging on till March when Splinter Cell 3 comes out. ;)

well dudes, i rodogg, am probably the biggest MGS (metal gear solid) fan there is in ja. i must say Hideo Kojima (the series creator) and his MGS team outdid themselves this time. the game is so beautiful on the PS2 and i am dying to see the PC version. metal gear solid for the ps1 was the highlight of the series and i only hope Snaker Eater resembles that one (have not yet finished snake eater). believe me kids, this is a must get by any means (even illegally). well enough of my ranting. SNAKE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!

Tactical Espionage Action
Metal Gear Solid 3
Snake Eater

What is there to say about a game that is perfect?
I think this is the best of all the mgs series ever, from nes to PS, XBOX and PS2 it doesnt get any better than this baby.
Hideo Kojima continues to produce some of the greatest games ever, the story the graphics, the gameplay. This game is perfection compressed on a DVD. This is a must get for all you MGS fans, the twist :eusa_danc :eusa_shhh , who wudda thought that.........
well play it and found out, you wont regret it believe me.

I love the metal gear series....but the thing i didnt like with snake eater was that snake seemed like a novice like how raiden was in sons of liberty i was used to him having detailed knowledge of almost everything and im use to him being the ultimate soldier fearing no one

snake in mgs3 is big boss so its not the same snake we know from mgs 1 & 2, plus mgs 3 is b4 the 2 previous games, so technically he is a novice, foxhound wasnt established in mgs 3, theres a part when "snake" met ocelot and he ..... let me stop for those who havent played it yet, dont want to spoil it for anyone

mgs a di hardest game ever build, i've played all of them and finished them, there are few games that u sit up whole day and night playing and this is one of them, like the final fantasy series i'll sit down day and night in front of the tv playing. I've conquered the first one unlocking both the bandana and stealth, similarly with mgs2 and mgs3 where i got all the camos. I especially loved the boss fight with THE END (trust me for an old man di man move fast). This game is a must buy guys! I've got all of them! Snake Snake SNAAAKKE! lol
