It happens to me intermittently as well. Once you are sure that you have connected to a particular wifi network already and you have saved the profile in your Berry. Simply Power Down your Berry. Take out the Battery. Put it back in, Power up and try again.
I had to do that and so did one of our Club Leaders as well Wolfman. Everything worked perfectly after that.

Whenever your Berry starts acting weird, just do a Battery Pull. Remember to power down first.

Please Note: Just In Case -

There is a known Java bug on the Bold. If you get a message like this
"uncaught exception: java.lang.error"
"Uncaught: Java exception error"
after booting up or during the boot up process just click ok till all the errors clear and do another Battery pull. I think this bug is related to the particular version of the OS thats on your device. It's nothing to worry about. I have that issue sometimes too. But it always clears up on the second Battery Pull.

Hope this info helps

Talk about that I am going to make an appointment with you HV to upgrade my Bold to what would be considered the most Stable Solid OS out now... I am having some WiFi issues too. The connection will drop intermittently and its so annoying at times. Maybe what we should do is plan a Lil Berry Linkup Day in the near future, so we all could just chill and have all our Berries sorted out properly...

you guys forgot to answer my question

does the wifi give any problems with the new OS.I can't answer that question because I have not upgraded my OS as yet. But from what I have seen on the crackberry forums, its a very stable OS. So I am assuming that the wifi issues would have been sorted out.

Won't a flash sort out that problem?

Won't a flash sort out that problem?

Not necessarily, Depending on what the developers trying to correct at that particular time. Please remember you have diffrent types of flash you have orginal and generic, Generic is what is not put out by the company while the orginal is whats the company put out. Now we get that clear the flash that RIM has out now only correct a few of the problems that the Bold has and yes wifi is one.

Upgrade to version 247 on the BOLD last week and so for no problem. Did not need to reinstall my backups. Just remember to keep your activation codes for your third party apps were you can easily locate them as a number of them had to be reactivated.

it also failed to connect, is this because the signal is weak.

It can also be a situation where MAC FILTERING is enabled so the routers can be seen but can't be accessed or simply a weak signal situation.
