samsung x426 modem error

can anybody help me setting up a samsung x426 gprs modem..the computer is picking up the cellfone but everytime i click connect it says dialing then an error message about "ppp link failed" comes up..can somebody tell mi what to do?

Nope, and I was just told that the speed should be 19200 - So if u can try that now, go ahead and give me some feedback.

Whenever I tried to get connected with this phone I would get this ppp multi link error.

i bought my samsung x426 cable at a store in pavilion..not royale..it's called "the phone centre" or something like that..second floor pavilion

k! but i'm wondering if c&w has closed some of their ports, because of the mass amount of user trying to access the net on their pc via cell? cause i/ve seen a couple people trying to access this service from last week until now. and its like 4 different people with different phones..................

I bought mine for 2000, a bit heavy but who cares.
anyway i was having the same problem too, but it seem to sort itself out now. not much help to you.

But i have a problem, when i try to dial a connection and it fails (that same ppp error) when i try to dial the connection again it say that the device isn't configured properly. why??

dude as i say i think c&w finding out that too much people are using the service on their pc to get on the net,so they probably close one of there ports. well thats just as far as i thinnk still dont know! tree person i know tried to get on since last week and they all have different phones and hey get the same erro, i'm thinking of not bother getting anymore cable?!!

it works for me the apn name is internet
im using my x426 now to browse the internet, it slow but hey its free cause ia a cable and wireless phone me have. use easy wizard.

ya'll not doing someting right, at first my x426 was giving some probs but its working now. i sat down for about 4 hours to figure it out. as i said use easy link software to connect. i got the cable at "royale computers" in pavilion "free ad" for $1275.00 the connection speed is 115.2kps.

waht are the exact settings u use to connect? is it easy wizard or is it actually, easy gprs? my settings are:

Country: Jamaica
Network Provider: [others]
APN and Connect name: Internet
Phone Number: *99**1*1#

the prob is finally fixed..the country wasn't actually jamaica..it was set to usa and i changed the number to *99#

Mine starting working to. It tek a good likkle while to figure it out but it works, i had apn set to "wap" when it should have been "internet"
