So last night I'm on the phone BB 8100. I notice the call has ended and the screen is white. The phone then starts to reset over and over again by itself, and when it does boot fully, the camera flash comes on, the the whole reset process starts again. I had recently upgraded to 4.5 from 4.2.1 the phone originally came with 4.2. So I connect to the pc, strangely enough the phone stays on while connected, but when i take it off the issue re occurs,so I reconnect and downgrade to 4.2.1 the phone seems to work fine.I upgrade again and so far everything seems to work fine. Any suggestions on what could have caused that?..Another factor..battery was at about 10 or 15% when issue occurred. I had the phone on the charger while I was making the call.

Could be a faulty battery, if you have someone battery that you could borrow, try it and see if it solves the problem, also which version of 4.5 did you put on your bb, you may need to do a wipe of the bb and re-install the os, and do not back up your applications, you could be reinstalling back the problem file that way.

Those sound like concrete ideas to work with however if all these don't solve the issue you can contact some BB Technicians to get deeper into your problems.

Thanks for the suggestion..since the upgrade has been working since for about a week before it crashed, im thinking that maybe its a third party software acting up since ive got tons of that on it. Probably should have done what u said and wiped the phone and installed freshed. However as I said earlier the downgrade/upgrade process seemed to have resolved the issue.

it can also be a hardware issue. Don't limit the solution to the ones that you can fix easily

Yeah I figured as much, but since it's working fine, I"m just gonna watch and see.

this happened to my curve 8320 except....after it started resetting itself it never came back! no matter wat i did to try fix it it was jus stuck in the reset loop. i took it to a place to get fixed they sed its the motherboard but i think theyre stealing the parts to put in another fone lol those f$%#ers. but yeah u should delete those third party programs and any themes u may have on it cause those can b wats casuing the problem. also there is a known issue with os 4.5 so b careful with it

I am sensing the the apps may be the problem, also if you have a media card store info on the card rather than the phone, bb tend to act up when you run low on space.

Now its seems of lately my bb device just decides to do strange things. So I'm on windows live messenger on my bb, along comes a friend using a htc dash,he's using a samsung wep200 bluetooth earpiece device. He asks me if I'm making a call i say no. Next thing I know i get a phone call and this dude hearing my entire convo over his earpiece. My bluetooth is off. I have never connected to his device. Only thing I gather is that he has a function named beam active on the dash. Apparently when he first asked if i was making a call,he was actually hearing my keypress as tones while i was on messenger. He turns beam off and he's no longer able to hear me.. I know bluetooth hacks that work on Sony and Motorola phones..but my bluetooth was off. Does anyone know what happened?
