Restore it to with the back up that was created during the upgrade,
or check online as said before for a solution. Do you have a memory card in the phone?

1. Do a battery pull with battery out for 20 second ( do it with the phone on)
2. Wipe the handheld
3. If you are using 4.5. 52 or 55 or any of those earlier os before 84 revert back to orignal os more than likely 4.2.** (do not back up any apps if you dont have to)

Well I own a Blackberry 8320 running on the same OS and mine is working PERFECTLY with no issues regarding the camera so I am sure it is because he is using an unvalidated Rom and as such he needs to download a valid upgrade from Blackberry to solve all his issues.
Here is a link for the Digicel ROM https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do
Here is the link for the LIME ROM https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do
These are valid ROMS and should solve all your issues.
Post your results.

No I don't. I am currently running version (v4.5.0.52) Platform (2.7.0.66) on Digicel. I would recommend you use the ROM provided on the Blackberry site for Digicel to solve any software issues as invalid ROMS will give you a headache.

i would also advise you to quickly upgrade your phone from 52 to 102, i have know of quite a few 8320 to have crashed using that os, it doesnt seem to be to stable. i have had a think 3 8320 to have died using that os, not all were able to be recovered.

You serious bro? Pm me with the updated Digicel Rom v102 so I can proceed with an update of my current Rom. One question? What new features/benefits are there to v102?
Pm me or call me at 423-5017. We need to talk.

Sometimes its the main-board that goes bad, and all you can do in this case is just replace it.

That sounds like a FACTORY Reject to me still. Frankly is there a way for us to send back damaged Berrys to RIM? Does Digicel offer this service or is it that once you get one of these bad Berries and they die on you then your cash goes with them? Trust me this is definetly not very encouraging....Remember a Blackberry is not a 10k phone we are talking about a mobile that ranges anywhere from 25k to as much as 60k depending on the vendor, model and accessories you buy with it....Trust me there must be some other way for us Berry owners to get our mobiles fixed or either replaced in the event we get these Factory rejected phones.

Well that sounds more like an OS issue still even though you can't be sure cause Berries are such funny phones....Anyways let us know if he sorts out the issue. If not I am sure that Gadgeteer can take a look on it for you.

From experience there is no hard or fast rule to know when your Berry is going but normally when the hardware parts start to malfunction and you get regular freezes that are quite long then you know you're board is dieing or if after flashing or updating the rom and you're still having the same issue then you know the board is almost dead or dying.

So in a case where your main board is dieing or damaged is better to replace the the main board or just buy a new phone??????

Well Digicel gives the standard warranty which is 90 days from last memory if you're a prepaid buyer.....I am not sure if they have changed this? But generally the warranty periods are different when you compare prepaid versus postpaid customers.
Anyways here is a link to Digicel's Warranty....http://www.digiceljamaica.com/en/search/
It is in PDF so you need Adobe Acrobat.

Wolffy as I said it was based on memory from back in the day when I had bought my first Digicel phone which was a Nokia 3310.....I am not sure if the policies or procedures have changed and frankly dat PDF file with Digicel's warranty was just too long to read so I posted it in the forums instead.

Curious? Who did you buy it from? One of our Mobile providers e.g. Digicel or Lime or was it a third party? e.g. Overseas or Local phone dealers? I am also hoping you got some compensation but from what I know if it is a third party buyer then you're on your own and that money was wasted cause they will not accept any liability.

Does it really matter where he got the phone from, Say if he was to travel aboard shouldn't he be able to go to a blackberry store and have the thing replaced or fix for free, or for cheap. These phones aren't cheap and it is never a 100% percent sure that any phone will work straight out of the Box.

That the con of 83xx series after a while the cam always give problem and no camera change is going to help it, bcoz as soon the problem return. The 8300,8310 8320 av all pass thru my hand and that a major problem of that series after awhile...the pics and vid get distorted.
