the following update has caused ppl grief without them knowing. a buddy in belgium has spotted it and microsfot is working on a fix.
the offending hotfix is Q811493. >:(
delete it from your system and you will notice your XP gain some speed. much like when you first installed ;D.
If you dont update, then its unlikely that you hav it. :P

Now you see why you should stick to Win2k...Nothing of that sort happening. ;D Don't have nothing against xp still, just giving them time to sort them self out...

Stayed with Windows 2000, i did although i a have copy of Xp for a few months now.
I honestly find Win2k to be the most stable OS release from Microsoft which makes me wonder why people decide to upgrade to XP ::).

I think most persons who are using Windows 95, 98 or Me, would upgrade to XP. But if you're using 2000, wouldn't really need any reason to upgrade.
I don't seem to have that update on my computer so I think I am in the safe. That's why I don't update my computer with the windows updates as soon as they come out. I give it a week or so before downloading them.

At my company we use those electronic doors that need a card to open with. Each door has a windows in it.
One day the door to the server room would not open. We thought about it and wondered why...since it was programmed correctly.
We looked....and looked... and came up with this brilliant idea!!!
Take the windows out of the door, that should do the trick ;D

Oddly enough I have never had any problems with my XP, not one single problem. I dont use any service packs or patches and it flies like a stealth bomber.
