Need Blackberry Help

I received a fully functional BB 7290 from a frend an he told me that the BB locked to C&W/LIME so newayz i was using my LIME chip in it and everything alrite but about 2 dayz ago I tried my digicel sim in there and to my surprise it works as I can make & receive calls, recieve & send text etc an so I wanted to try the DIGICEL PREPAID BLACKBERRY SERVICE but I tried it but it says my device is incompatible do you think its becuz the BB is locked why it wont work?...I check the Digicel site an it said the BB 7290 IS COMPATIBLE with their service.

yh, that is the reason y it wont work.
not only is the phone locked to LIME but the BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) was probably also activated on lime.the phone would hav to be unlocked 1st bro.

Yes the service provider has to release your pin

Yea CC should have told you that instead of saying it not compatible that happen to me with my first BB

No I found out the reason why it wont work
When i checked the settings, the phone shows that it is unlocked but i didnt realize is that it is a BB 7280 and NOT 7290 and the plan can only work on a 7290

But if the pin is coonected via LIME if u put in digi sim you won't be connected you will be able to make and receive calls

How can i check if the pin is still connected to Lime?

Call them and if it is ask them to release it which may take hours when I did mine with digi it took a min
When you put in the lime sim are able to use messenger if u are then u are connected

Ok i am going to try my Lime sim in it now an see if the messenger work

Yeah you can do that but its not a gaurantee that it will work

I think he has to ask the person who he got it from to get release it from lime
