I have learnt from the 'can i use a 850/1800/1900 fone on digicel?' thread that digi is not fully operational on the 1800 frequency, though it works in some places. What I wanna kow is if CW is fully operational on both 850 & 1900 & if not, which is the stronger of the 2.

I have a 900/1800/1900 fone that i use on cw now & i jus realised that it'd b fully compatible with digi & was jus wondering about the cw issue.

C&w support both 850 & 1900. Digicel some places. The lower freqency is considered better because of its ability to penitrate walls easier.

MarlonXP is right. You will be get better signals with the lower frequencies. The higher frequencies somehow don't seem to penetrate buildings quite as well. As such you may find that the networks are overlaying the higher frequencies with the lower one.

There is a little devices called and internal antenna which assists you phone recieving abilities.

I hope this answers your question
