LIME, the new Caribbean communications business recently launched by Cable & Wireless and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced that the stylish BlackBerry® Pearl™ Flip 8220 smartphone, the first BlackBerry® smartphone to come in a ‘flip’ design, will be available from LIME in countries across the Caribbean in November.

it's just business it seems, it's long overdue that these fone companies to penetrate the caribbean markets,just hope the mobile service providers may start to offer services similar to overseas like fones on credit

This BB is actually quite sexy on the outside .. nice and sleek .. inside could use some work, phone is very light.. keypad could use some work ... all and all ... not bad

I agree....Frankly I am not into flip phones as to me they are somewhat feminine so I see alot of ladies going for this so at least I see that RIM is doing its marketing research to build a phone that caters to every segment of the market.

2. I am not getting my emails (Gmail Only)and when check the website its justing sitting there
When i had the curve i had to put in a filter for gmail with my addy because every time I send an email from my account it sends one to my phone some how it looks like it conflict with the bold or is a lime thing dont know when i do that i dont get any mails at all.
Call cc about the unknown # they say they gonna del that feature and add it back so with in 8 to 24hrs i should be ok

the copy of gmail email, i think its prob a gmail setting cuz i have that same prob, dont have it with hotmail or aol and i dont think its a prob with the bold was the same for my pearl, curve and flip. How did u get around this?

Anyhoo the flip isnt a bad phone I actually liked it when i had it, key pad is nice and big not cramped like the pearl. was noticeably faster than the pearl and curve and i didnt have any lagging at all when switching between apps. Opera Mini didnt work properly on it, same thing with the bold so i'm here suffering with their crappy browser. Overall nice phone RIM need to step up with their browser cuz it sucks

With Curve and digi I put in a filter with my gmail addy and it worked but with LIME and the Bold it sometimes delay my email or i just dont get it
Yes its definetly faster and with keyboard and all the phone feels much more sturdy

Time to tek back some chat my pearl died tonight and need my blackberry to stay connected withmy emails and contacts. I kind of dislike the flip. But kind of hard to ignore that digicel special on this dead stock phone 22k Inc tax is still some 18k less than what you guys have javelins selling for and some 33k less than what digicel have javelins for... So out of pure desperation may be forced to run and buy this fugly phone tomorrow.
