BB wifi

Help needed..new BB owner, i was advised to change my browser from digicel live to wifi preffered. I have no gone post paid yet. When i try to browse credit is removed. How do i stop this?

I am assuming that you are using a 8320 or 8120.
Firstly you have to be in a wifi zone,
scan for wifi and connect to the wifi,
then browse.

I am using 8320 but it still removing credit.

Ok well i call digicel and dem seh u haffi be in a hotspot and i cant use my wireless connection at home, which i was under that impression from other BB users

Well that shouldnt be the case. You should be able to browse wifi without chargin of your credit in any hotspot. Do 2 things. 1 ensure you are in a hotspot and you are connected to it. 2. Go to options -> Mobile network -> Connection preference -> choose WIFI

Disable the mobile network then connect to your wifi and see what happens.

Im assuming he means to turn of the wireless/radio for the phone serivce..

I recently got a 8320 as well and i was trying to browse via the wireless at my office and it was taking credit from my account.. Anyways i figured it out..

you need to go to Options>>Advanced Options>>Browser>>Default browser configuration>>then change it to "hotspot browser"
