Not a bad idea Gkid given that it is a Gaming association it should generate more interest than trying to form some other computer group or society. Let’s hope this one work out but someone MUST take the initiative for it to work.
For some reason here in Jamaica it seems the interest is not really there when it comes to forming these groups and associations. Why? I am not sure ??? .

Right now I don't think that numbers is going to be the problem.

I think that what we need to do now is to devise a plan of action. Have a goal and a mission statement. What is it we hope to achieve and how do we intend on getting it done.

I know that right now the idea is a good one, but before we go to anyone we must have a plan of action, at least the person who intend on getting this thing started.

So what is the proposition?
Lets put the ideas together here and then move on.

Consideration could also be made in making the Trinidad's gaming association and extention of ours.

k.... so now that we have all this.. i figure that everybody that's responded thus far will make up the "board" ... so let's set up a meeting time and sit down and chat and put some meat on this...

My best days are sat (all day free) and mon (free till 3) ... i can stretch a sunday if necessary

We can also do custom boxes/cases, and gaming machines for peeps who want them. But at a price...

Well....lets start small.

We should have these groups wherever people be, mobay, kingston, mandeville, st.ann....

then these lil groups can form the biggy. I know franz and some guys here in mobay that can get things going on our end.

The biggest problem though is the fast connections. It would be easier for us to create online servers (password protected) that we can connect to and have fun. Doing so across a 56k is a killer!!!

Ok, lets see we have from our side

You (matronyx), Franz, Ropy and myself who are willing to start things here.

Good.

But still we (metioned above) will start have to meet with GodKid, DarkAngel et. al. to Design a structure for the group, Aims and objectives and plan of action.

With that we can go into our relevant areas start developing the organisation.


What I do suggest is by the time we start a meeting date we can have ideas that we would like to put forward and how you would like to see such an Idea implemented.

(Anytime is ok for me for a meeting time, you just have to tell me before hand...like a week or 2)
