VICE CITY COMING TO THE PC
Look for it in May

Rockstar Games, proudly announced today that the PC version of the global blockbuster, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, is set to hit retail shelves in North America on May 13th and in Europe on May 16th. The PC version will possess enhanced features including improved graphics and sound, additional PC controls, as well as several options for players to customize the game.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the sequel to last year's best-selling Grand Theft Auto 3, has once again received universal critical acclaim, a multitude of awards and financial success by becoming the fastest selling, highest grossing PlayStation®2 game released to date, outdoing its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto 3. Released for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system last October, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City had the distinct honor of becoming the undisputed number-one selling video game of 2002. The Grand Theft Auto franchise has now achieved the unimaginable feat of ruling the video game sales charts two years in a row.

"We felt that we had to truly outdo ourselves when it came to developing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and felt that we owed it to the fans to continue to keep enhancing and delivering the gameplay, cinematic graphics, production values and audio experience that have become synonymous with the Grand Theft Auto franchise," said Sam Houser, president of Rockstar Games. "We are truly humbled by the response that the game has received so far and are extremely excited to showcase Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on the PC."

"The real beauty behind Grand Theft Auto is not only the freedom that it allows the players, but also the freedom that it has given us as developers," added Leslie Benzies, president of Rockstar North. "The open ended, non-linear world of Grand Theft Auto allows us to stretch the limits of our imaginations by giving us an open canvas to work with. This was especially the case when it came to creating Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The 80's fashion styles, music, and sensibility fueled our creativity to the fullest. We are extremely excited for the PC world to experience the fruits of our labor when the enhanced version of the game is released this spring."

With the US$ on the rise, it's hard to buy the game u like. Here is a suggestion. What If one of us bought the game, the original copy. And we all split the cost, how you maybe asking. Simple, who ever wants a copy give like $500. It's not software piracy, it's cost sharing... Just a suggestion...so don't flame me.

It's not gonna be on the XBOX, It's for PS2 alone... If your wondering why it's on the PC then, simple a PC is not a console.

Oh yeah, I forgot that Sony bought back the rights so that it's PC / PS2 exclusive. Thanks for reminding me.

True. Final Fantasy X is awesome.

But Halo is awesome for XBOX as well - one can't be too narrow in their judgements. ;)

Hey is it is on ps2 alone. Get a ps2 emulator and play it on your pc.

They can play both boot leg and original.

Since we want to support the gaming industry we could buy the original cds still.

What exactly do you have an FTP link for? The game? The PS2 Emu? or Both? If you have any of the above, don't post it here. Send it to me via private message. Thanks ;D

I didn't know they had a working PS2 Emu?!?!

There are a lot of things they have...

Did you know there was an emulator for the X-Box?

The guy who designed it was hire by Microsoft and as to pull his thing off the web. Kinda the same thing they did with a lot of the dss guys.

That's a good idea, cost sharing, i mean, i been away for awhile, berserk and hellsing anime's have kept me up nights and days, but i think it's a good idea.

Is any one seriously interested or is this one of those, great idea dying out slowly kind of things ?
