Nokia 5700

Just get my 5700 after a couple weeks of waiting and the fact that the N91 went out of stock on me :icon_cry:. Still a damn good fone though, but having a problem.

I've read on the site where C&W network is somewhat more advance than digi in terms of support for the newer fones so most actually work on their network instead of digi e.g. N95. I found that actually I not getting any signal where I live in portmore but as soon as I touch Kingston I get full signal. Don't want to go back CW but don't want to get rid of this mobile cuz it's gonna be the last mobile for me for the next year to 2 (Was between it and the N91 :sold: No Sony Ericssons :thumbsdown:). Anyone hear of anything being done to improve digicel's present network to support these newer mobiles?

Jomo, which thread u read in that the 5700s working fully on digi? As I say b4 the fone works fine jus that not getting any network coverage outside of kingston basically. Right now I use it in Kingston and another NEC when I'm in portmore.

phone is cool not sure what happening with urs which country it come from i see them working quite fine in and out of kingston.

my co-worker and his girl have one each on the digicel network and they went as far as Negril and no problem what-so-ever

Heard I can downgrade it or get it flashed to support digicel properly but it is risky as if a mistake is made during the process, basically left with a paperweight :thumbsdown:. Gonna get a CW sim and sign up for net cuz this fone does have potential :)...

I do hope that Digicel will sort out their problems ASAP....cuz they really need to make us as customers happy.
