Alien Swarm is an overhead view tactical squad-based shooter for UT2K4. Set in the the distant future, the players take the role of a Commander in the Interstellar Armed Forces. They must guide their squad of marines through Swarm infested colonies, overrun bases and outposts, to achieve a variety of objectives. Featuring Assault Rifles, Heat Tracking Guns, Sentry Guns, Flamethrowers and more. Supports co-operative multiplayer.

Because it is an overhead shooter the graphic requirements are not as steep as UT2004 in order to have great frame rates. I tried it on a an Athlon 1.53Ghz (XP1800+) with 512MB and a GeForce 4 MX and was pulling in 60+fps @ 1024x768

Game play is fun as He!! though, I haven’t tried multiplayer as yet. The overhead view takes a bit of getting accustomed to but it is similar to the Fallout games. Once you master moving around and aiming you're good to go.

Resurrect the old thread rather than start a new one.

Gonna plan to play Saturday night. Who else going jump in? Usually 4 people at a time. Crisis should be coming. I hope. So we need two more.

Last time i tried playing with you guys i was horrible so i recommend you link up wiggles and biggz, they should be well up for it...

I'm going to wait till 8:45PM. If I don't see anyone on STEAM or anyone reply here then I going leave go play volleyball. I will be on a random server till then.

I waited till 8:52PM and nobody don't message me on STEAM or reply here. I gone to play volleyball. Catch you guys.

I was working yesterday. Will be home most of today unless something comes up. I'll be on Swarm or something else till I see someone else from TJ on.

*EDIT*
I'll be available to play with whomever wants to join in - but from now I'm going to invest some time in BF:BC2 because a good number of my friends play that and were asking me to jump on. If I'm in game you'll just have to wait.

The drive with my games started giving issues. Crashed and repaired with the manufacturer's utilities but delays in the writes cause me to lag badly. Can't game properly like that. Will have to wait till I get my new drives to move my 400+GB game cache, but I guess I could install Swarm on a different drive till then.
