1. yes you can enter online the entry fee is $600.00 for online entries.

2. The location of the Tournament will be in St. Ann, at Computer Cental Plus, 7 Gully Rd. St. Ann's Bay, and we have 15 PC's Available, and space for you to carry your own Rig.

3. Will check the CS map thing out, if all else we will set the cal settings manually, but I never experienced that prob before.

You can carry your own pc, and yes space will be available to accomodate this.
there is only one way to garrantee your pc and that is to reserve it by paying 50% of the fee, this is non refundable.

$800.00 Carry your own

Trading and exchange of maps etc. and stuff are a regular part of Trournaments and LAN Parties.

im pretty sure the CAL.CFG doesn't go well with cs_ maps because of how the money system works in CS. cal.cfg was made for de_maps. i think.

btw i've notice some lag spikes on the server. on the day of the tourney will ur broadband be shutdown from all other pc's cept the server for optimal performance?

the spikes you notice from time to time is mostly related to processing power as the server was probably being used to do some processor intense jobs, that will notbe done on the Tourny day, infact in a few weeks not additional tasks will be carried out on this server, except server tasks? (which ofcourse is not limited to CS) ;D

Well I got the bad news during the day on Saturday, so I'm not cringing at the scores (kinda expected it though :( )

Looks like the MB troops need a trip back to BootCamp to get ourselves re-focused and reloaded for the next one.

What of this Restarts that I have been hearing about Linval? What was up?

WE were having a bit of Technical difficulty with our bandwidth, apparently we were receiving a fluctuating 156 KB on the upload from cable and Wireless instead of 256, as a result lag interfered with the online games, and the match sometimes had to be restarted.

However for our next Tournament dated the 31 of July 2004, we will have T1 line available for the event, to avoid such Technicalities.

Basically it was like playing a 5 man-a-side football game with only 4 players. One of whom have only played CS about 5 times. Apart from that one and two things had happened that made me lose interest, but it was fun though.

I think the score with the team we played from Kingston (Untouchables) is off though...we did not get a 13-0 beating. I know for sure that we won the first two rounds.

Son you need to watch that mouth of your. We have been playing CS from version 1.0 so you well young in this thing. I am actually surprise that you guys did not get 13-0 from the FORGOTTEN clan. I had to oppertunity to play against slimz and yappy in lan environment and I knew those 2 guys alone could take out a whole team, it was very frightening to think what 5 of them would do ;D.

The bad news about PDL is that most of the team is either lecturing or completing master degree so time does not permit us to play together as much as we used to 2 years ago.

Come September I start my master degree so this is really like my last summer of active CS for the next 2 years.

I am trying to get the guy to make some time for the next Lan tourny though.

Guys I do not appreciate the the tone that is being taken on the reporters present, the information printed was submitted a day before the event, all teams were required to submit info which should include but not limit to.

[1]team members,
[2]brief history of the team,
[3]names and
[4]handles of the members,
[5]geographical location
[6]Age group

So this would explain why the names are incorrect, the names in no means reflect what is on the pictures, the names supplied are a reflection of submissions made by your teams,only for the winning team there is a name to face coordinations.

And dem neva beat PDL either. as a matter of fact PDL embarassed them 13-0 in aztec. Some manLinval claim say it was the half teaspoon a liquor that him put in a 2 litre pepsi cause it. ;D ;D ;D

Now, I ain't normally concerned about things being posted but....when you stating things...especially when it comes to a score, be straight up. >:(

You did not give me and my crew nil b4 June 26th. In fact, I remember single handedly wiping out the entire St. Anns Bay team in one of our "serious" rounds.
Notice I put that in quotes. Even now my peeps here in Mobay have not had the chance to play a true round of CStrike with you guys. The last time our team (5 or more players) met, the entire day was spent goofing off.
By the time we had decided to play a serious tournament round (....uhhh....about 9:00 pm ::) ) most players were out of it.
We won most of those goof off sessions...no questions about that.

Don't worry though, you'll be getting your chance to back up your posts soon... very soon. :P

Yet I am concerned. There are reports coming in of games were the server had to be restarted.

I asked you and you said it was due to internet connection. My concern is, what does the interenet have to do with games played on the Local Area Network where all the members of the playing teams are present.


I am just trying to understand everything that went on in St. Ann's.


Regarding the Newspaper Report. Fine there was a blunder, such is life. Thats why they call it news ;)

LAN Games were not restarted. the only restarts that take place is when the match begins, so when all players or in on the server that doesn't mean the games has began, the game begins once the round restarts 3 consecutive times.

the rounds were restarted 3 times, when all team members were in the game.
it wouldn't be fair if 5 CT's came in the game first and only 2 T's came in and then 5secs after the rest of them come in..

so you just restart the rounds 3 times ( Live On 3 or LO3 )
on 3rd restart the game goes LIVE..
and this is restarting the ROUND. not the server/map.
