See, Windows95 used FAT16 partitioning which only supported drives less than 2GB. Is hould know this because I had to split a 3.2GB drive into C and D partitions due to this restriction. Win95b was the first Win OS to use FAT32, which allowed the OS to see larger partitions.
My first answer, 3 partitions, is therefore utterly wrong.

Hopefully I'll have more rights than wrongs, many more.

Using FAT32, it will only need ONE partition to use the five GB drive. My original math had two 2GB and one 1GB partitions based on the 2GB obstacle with WIN95

You have a point there ramesh but I think my ans is correct unless I'm mixing it up with something else. Win59b can only support a max of 4gb... :-\ If mi wrong ah soh.

Answer: A - 1 partition
Explanation: Windows 95b added support for FAT32 file systems. FAT32 allows 2TB per partition.
