Is there any FREE software/print driver that I can download so that I can print my documents to PDF format?

Yup. Linux has the answer.

Check http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue72/bright.html.

I tried it and it works. Please get the latest versions of the software. They have been improving the quality of the output with each release.

I will set it up this weekend to refresh my memory in case you have any questions. I think I had to make some slight modifications to get it to work.

In essence, you set up a Samba printer and use Ghostscript to print to the pdf file.

I once was looking for a program just like that the best I fouund was http://download.com.com/3000-2064-10106293.html?tag=lst-0-3

Sharware program you can do a search for "pdf print" from your favourite free software archive and see what you come up with...

PS - Get a copy of Adobe Acrobat or try thier trail version

I forgot to mention that it has to be for Windows. Anyway I downloaded pdf995 and tried it out. It did exactly what I wanted it to do (Convert a report produced by an old Visual Foxpro app to pdf format). I also tested it out on HTML and MSWord documents (with tables) and it was successful.

pdf995 is free.

Thanks for the input.

The linux solution will work on Windows. You can print from a Windows machine to the Samba printer.
