View Full Version : Conntecting to Area51's NFS Server

Here's you go about connecting to Area51's NFS Server.

Step 1.

Download the LAN Client
>> http://area51.anngel.com/nfsuclient.exe

Step 2.
Run the Client and insert the IP as shown in the diagram attached. After that is done click on USE LAN Server.

Step 3.
Start the game and click on Play Online. Create an account and enjoy your play.

NB.:
1. If you don't want to use Area51's server download the server from here http://3priedez.net/nfsu/
(http://3priedez.net/nfsu/), and input the server's IP in the client and follow Step 3.

2. Make sure that USE LAN Server is selected or else you won't be able to connect to Area51's server.

If you get an error saying "Cannot write host file" after clicking "Use Lan Server".... just make sure your hosts file isn't readonly. Mine was ... ::)

How is the game play with a 56K modem

It is the same procedures with all connections. Me and ropy tested it and he was using 56k, i was using gotel. We experienced slight problems, but nutten serious. He said he saw me all over the place, when in fact i was in one lane.

That happened because I was running Messenger Plus in the background and some other progs(I think).
