it has an issue where it keeps shutting of and this happens if you use the gps feature fo a period of time. so i took it back the repaired it and it went back to square one three times so they say they going to replace it but im wondering if the phones themselve have issues
iam say this because out of 8 of us at work who bought the same phones 7 of us had to return them iwould like to know if any of you guys with 3530s experienced the same thing

sounds like a bad batch of 3530's. It would be really interesting to hear what other 3530 owners have to say.

I have a Nokia 3530 but this is yet to have happened to me.
My phone was among the first set that was shipped here.
I think it could be hardware fault or malicious activity on the GPRS network. Virii exists for mobile phones!!!

Tell me about it. I had to send my T200 in for repairs. It kept hanging up and sometimes displayed an "emergency calls only" message. Checks that I made revealed that it needed a software/firmware upgrade. Sent it in and got it done just in the nick of time before the warranty expired.

Yes
My mother has one and the problem seems to have been solved!
The digitech says that it was because the GPRS count was full ??? NB. not the cache; the GPRS count. I have no idea where that is, but they cleared it and the phone has given no problem since, except for this problem: can't send mail from Yahoo (access etc. is ok) The messenger works fine.

the GPRS count can be found in the Call Log. It is listed as "GPRS data counter"

Since you're on the 3530, I need some new games for my 3530 does anyone know any?
I have gone through Eureka and Inzayne. There some good games on these sites, Splinter Cell Extended Ops, Rainbow 6, XII, Prince of Persia "Sands of Time", there some good sports games FIFA 2003 and 2004 and more. If you're interested in these sites I could pass them out.
Also there is a software called "Webviewer" that can be used to view HTML sites on your 3530.

Nokia 3530 has a simple problem. Its entire memory is broken down into parts. One for games, os etc The problem is that when people use the phone to download stuff, it gets saved into the os section if the rest of designated sections for downloads are full. Hence the phone will crash among other things. It has a terrible memory management system. A while back people thought that they were messed up because of a virus - Ropy is a prime example. No bad batch or anything unless u call the entire line by nokia a bad batch.

Ok Ok.....
Had this problem once but got over it, heres the solution just clear the cache regularly or clear it after each wap session cuz if it gets too much the phone memory will be full enuff which causes it to turn off and in some cases like me cant even turn on @ all....
So therefore just go to "services" and "clear the cache" ;)
THIS SHOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM :icon_cool :icon_cool
