I recieve so much spam each day, (as most of you probably do too) that I am finding new ways to get around them.

What I am looking for is an email client that allows me to view the email headers of the emails, before I download them. And allows me to delete them without actually downloading them. I can easily see from the email headers if it is spam or not.

What I currently use is a program called Ultrafunk Popcorn, which downloads the headers of the emails, (the email address and the subject of the email) and then gives me a chance to delete/forward/reply/download those emails. This is a lightweight email client and not a full fledge email client, like Outlook Express.

After deleting the spam, I use Mozilla Mail to download the emails from my account.

But using 2 programs to get my email is getting a bit of a hassle. Been using them for a number of months now.

So I was wondering if anyone knows of an email client that combines both features. Full fledge email client, like Outlook or Mozilla Mail and allows me to view the headers before I download them. So I don't waste time downloading spam.

If it works for linux (mandrake 9.1, i'm using) or windows (using xp), anyone will do.
If not, I'll just stick with what I got. :)

Well Arch this is an add-in for Microsoft Outlook, it is not a standalone client but it integrates as a part of Outlook, so no need to learn another new interface. Secondly it also reads POP3 and IMAP servers unlike Popcorn.

InBoxer is a highly personalized Outlook email filter that blocks more than 99% of spam and junk messages. Unlike most anti-spam products, this analyzes the language used in your messages as well as the invisible information in your message header. Using Bayesian statistical analysis and other advanced techniques, it creates your personal model for "good" email and your personal model for spam or junk e-mail. It then compares every incoming message to your individual models and blocks the messages that you do not want to see.

* adds support for a much wider variety of mail systems including IMAP, xchange servers, & Hotmail
* Supports network drives for filters
* Will adapt even faster to user's mail in order to build a more custom filter
* Improved installation process with much smaller download file
* Numerous usability improvements ]

YET ANOTHER ONE THAT SLIPPED ME

JBMail 3.2 is a small mail client which can manipulate mail directly on a POP3 server. It's designed for portability, so it doesn't require installation and can be run from read-only media. It has all essential mail client features and multiple levels of defence against destructive attachments. It is immune to HTML and scripting attacks. There is also full support for POP3 and SMTP over SSL (secure socket layer), including certificate checking and appropriate warnings.
