*#06# works on my Panasonic too. The IMEI can be used by cell phone service provider to render the phone useless in the event that it is stolen. The phone will be useless even if the SIM is changed after stealing the phone. So keep the code in a safe place. I had posted some info on this topic in General Forum if I remember correctly. ;)

Code Title: SID/SOC Disable and Protocol Stack

Code: "*777*" and then power off

Code Description: Unlocks hidden options in the "Menu>Settings>Networks". Not sure about all of it, reply on what i've found would be very cool. Oh and it tells you what protocol you are using too, G for gsm T for tdma next to the signal strength bar too.

Remember, TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! I tried it and it works for me.

Ensure call list is full (30 entries and ensure you have a mixture of originated calls, missed calls and received calls).
Pick a number from your call list.
Edit the number before you call.
Press "c" to delete the number.
Press and hold "0" to get "+"
Make the call.
Press Cancel before you receive the error/wrong number tone.
Now check your call list. You should have a blank entry at the end of the list.

The call list now should be in the order you called/missed/received

You can download a Nokia DCT4 calculator to generate an unlocking code based on your imei number. I used it to unlock a 3200 i had, work great on both networks. Or you can try the Free Phone Unlocking thread.
