Whenever I try to transfer files from PC to phone using data cable I do not see the phone's memory stick displayed. I only see the 'phone memory' icon. Why?

Transferring some MP3 music and what I now have to do is to put them on the phone then transfer to memory stick. Why cant I transfer straight to the card? This is time consuming as the phone can hold about 5 or so songs at a time.

Can someone please advise me?

Thanks.

i dont use data cables anymore. my bluetooth dongle software transfers files between the pc and anywhere on the phone, including my phones mmc card.

so either get a bluetooth dongle or a card reader.

if you want either or both, link me.

Can I get my PC (which doesnt have bluetooth feature) to be bluetooth enabled? How does the dongle work?

Even then the songs may go to the phone rather than to the memory card? Dont have a problem using the cable - it is just that the memory card is not being shown why? Do I need to configure something?

Were you ever able to see your memory stick on the phone via your PC? K750 earlier firmware version does not automatically appear as a drive when you connect it to a computer. Check the CD it came with for connection software.

I am not sure if I saw it the first time I installed the software and connected the phone. What exactly should I check the CD for?

On second thought... Yes I think the memory stick was displayed on my first try. I remember loading all of 18 songs straight to the memory stick. The phone memory couldnt hold so may songs. Now I can only load 5-6 at a time on the phone then transfer to card.

yes your pc can be bluetooth enabled, the bluetooth dongle does this for you.

How it works

you plug the dongle into a usb port, install some software from the accompanying cd, start the bluetooth software, turn on your phones bluetooth, pair your phone to the dongle (http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External20 01,case=obj(14817)) and thats it.

the software is easy to use with well labelled icons.

Why buy a USB Bluetooth Dongle?

Connect your PC/laptop to your Bluetooth mobile phone:
• Transfer files
• Browse the Internet
• Download & send emails
• Backup & synchronise contacts/calendar
• Transfer videos, pictures & music
