"Testing this, my colleagues sent text messages instructing friends to do various things, like turning off their mobile phone for 30 minutes. In all cases, the recipient of the message did as they were told."

A quote from the article

Who in their right mind would do this?? Are people that naive?? They couldnt think of anything that would make me turn my phone off, especially via text message. I laughed when i read this. Whatever reason they gave in the text message, if it was that important, they could have called.

But hey, We r humans!!!!!!!!!!

There exists so many unscrupilous people in Jamaica that love to use technology for the wrong reasons or should I say for 'illegal' purposes. As quoted from the computerweekly website:..... 'It is crucial that businesses and staff take mobile phone security seriously. Awareness and a few sensible precautions as part of the overall enterprise security policy will deter all but the most sophisticated criminal. There are popular proverbs: "where there is a will, there is a way" and "never say never!"

Do you remember when the first TOJ now CWJ cell phones where cloned? Person were not smiling then when the big bills keep coming and they were not responsible for the call made on their cells. Let us all be cautious. ;)
