No tips other than changing the sensitivity level to ur liking. Its real hard to use still - Mouse is king, nothing can replace it.

well if u don't like the touchpad nor the eraserhead, u stuck with a mouse. how about that ball one, do they still make those on laptops?? i think that ball was the worst thing ever to be found on a laptop.

And you know come to think of it i had and old Toshiba that had the ball mouse, and it work quite well ... it just looked tacky ... A dont think they make them anymore .

Prolly i need to ask ma boss, cause i see him using a laptop for about 3yrs now and he only uses the touchpad no mouse :eusa_thin

I don't really have a problem using the touchpad, as long as it's not for an extended period of time. You must realise that they more than likely included the touchpad as a mobile, compact and convenient mouse pointer controller, and not as a replacement to the mouse.

i thought i was the only one with a gripe against touchpads, i tried playing spider solitaire with a freaking touchpad, i don't own a laptop but whenever working on one i always attach a mouse and a monitor, sometimes a keyboard(another gripe - the keyboard layout)

I like the touchpads on laptops, much better than the litte nob on the keyboard. Used the touchpad on a Dell, Compaq and IBM and all of them are ok. Comfortable with the keyboard as well.

i don't have a problem with touchpads, works quite well for me, maybe yours is either too sensitave or not sensitive enough, play with the settings a bit, the eraserhead is eseier to use but mine always keeps popping off, but neither can compare to a mouse still

Well i spoke with my boss ,... only tip he gave me was to use both hands, one on the touchpad and one on the bottons ... which kinda makes sence becasue i use one hand to operate both, so im constantly back and forth.
